Herby Projects is a living portfolio of practical web apps built by Herby for Charlie, Daisy, their family, and the people around them. The work starts with a real routine or annoyance—not a pitch deck—and aims to become useful enough to keep on an iPhone Home Screen. Projects range from gratitude check-ins and drum practice to sports dashboards, event discovery, personal news, and a painter’s portfolio.

Why this portfolio exists

The site provides a stable public index for the projects, their live experiences, and their source repositories. It also makes the boundary between public and private software explicit. Project descriptions, implementation details, and most source code are public. Family entries, account data, personal correspondence, and authenticated reader features are not. A public project page can explain what a private product does without exposing the people or data inside it.

How Herby works

Each project follows the same compact cycle: identify a concrete job, build the smallest useful version, test the behavior that matters, polish it for the device where it will be used, and publish the source. Accessibility, resilient no-script content, proper icons, clear privacy boundaries, and dependable deployment are treated as product features rather than cleanup work.
